Tyler finished second in
the Junior Champ Raptor Final 2 feature at the WKA Speedway Pavement
Series National at Beaverun, Pennsylvania. Tyler had a fast kart,
however his throttle linkage came loose and he only had 3/4 throttle.
That was still enough for him to hold off AJ Yoder until the final
turn when Yoder passed Tyler on the outside and Tyler didn't have
enough throttle to hold him off. The two races crossed the finish
line and gave each other thumbs up acknowledging a great season
for both drivers. |

Tyler wins the Junior Champ
Heavy feature and clinched the TRIPLE CROWN at the WKA Speedway
Pavement Series National at Beaverun, Pennsylvania.. Tyler needed
the win in heavy to secure the National Championship and the Triple
Crown. He was exactly where he wanted to be the entire race....following
AJ Yoder and pushing him on every lap so the two of them put distance
between them and the rest of the field. Tyler felt he could pass
Yoder at will, but waited for the final lap when another kart entired
the equation. Tyler gave the 36 kart a good shove down the back
strech and moved outside waiting for Yoder and the 36 to battle
with each other. The 36 put all four tires in the grass to get under
Yoder and Tyler swooped thru for the victory. |

Series National at Beaverun, Pennsylvania. . Tyler had a commanding
lead, when his exhaust manifold gasket blew taking away his compression
and the kart began to slow down. Tyler held off the challengers
until the final lap whne he was passed. It was still a good finish
considering the drop in horsepower due to the blown gasket. |

competition was was held to his bumper due to the draft. With one
lap to go Tyler was in fourth when Anna Beth Barnes tangled with
the #97 of Evan Finley. This left Tyler in second behind Barnes
coming into the final corner. Tyler made a move to the inside and
Barnes attempted to protect the low line. Barnes was 3/4 side ways
and Tyler held his line as she spun to the infield. Tyler went on
to take the checkered flag. The victory was taken away from Tyler
for a very questionable call by the local track officials. A formal
protest was filed, however the victory was taken from Tyler. Tyler
was obviously disappointed by the ruling which robbed him of his
third eagle of the weekend, but he still leads the point chase for

The Chapel Hill Raceway New
York Divisional Series began with questionable weather. We lined
up based upon a pill draw and started in the rear for the Raptor
Feature. Tyler had overtaken the entire field before the completion
of the first lap and dominated the other racers winning by a straight
away. We lined up by pill draw for the Junior Champ Heavy feature
and started fourth. Tyler followed the #08 kart for the first two
laps before overtaking the lead and a 7 kart lead. As the end of
the race neared we began losing power to the motor and our lap times
started to slow. Tyler held on as AJ Yoder was closing on his rear
bumper at the end of the race. We replaced the motor and made a
few adjustments before the start of the Junior Champ Lite Feature.
As the feature approached so did a major thunderstorm ending our
day and we received rain out points for the Junior Champ Lite class. |
