Tyler Strickland competes
in the Fort Wayne Rumble indoor race (Day 2). Tyler qualified fifth
for the feature with a win in heat one and a third in heat two.
Tyler moved quickly into third place and rode out the leaders for
a few laps until he felt his tires come in. He moved wickly into
second and began hunting down the leader. With about three laps
to go Tyler made a clean pass in turns three and four to take the
lead, however the #22 car drove him into the tire in the center
of the turn causing him to spin where he was hit head on by the
Strayer kart #71, who had no way to avoid Tyler's kart. Tyler clearly
had position for the pass on the #22 and the driver of that kart
clearly wrecked him intentionally. Tyler had the fastest kart in
the class and would have won the feature easily if not for the incident.
Two laps later the #04 of Ryan Moran made a last minute pass to
win the race and put the #22 into the wall as well. Poetic justice!
The crowd of more than 10,000 spectators went crazy with cheering
when the #22 was overtaken for the lead. |

Tyler Strickland competes
in the Fort Wayne Rumble indoor race. This event brought in 428
competitors for the day with drivers like Tony Stewart on hand for
the event. Tyler competed in the Senior Champ class against some
very tough older competitors. Tyler took 1st in the first heat and
second in the second heat which put him in third for the feature.
The feature began with Tyler moving immediately into second and
hunting down the leader. The lead changed hands a couple of times
with Tyler making the pass for the lead with about six laps to go
and he opened up about a nine kart lead and the victory. The Rumble
at Fort Wayne Victory is a great addition to an already terrific
season. |

Tyler Strickland Competes
in the second Legends race of the Winter Heat Series at the outback
1/5th mile at Lowes Motorspeedway. The day was rainy and Tyler took
third in the first heat and made the Main qualifying in sixth position.
As the main began it was raining heavily and we did not have a rain
setup or rain tires. Tyler drove the car despite these handicaps
and it was a difficult task. He ended up finishing 16th out of the
twenty six car field competing in the young lions division. |

Archbold race was a beat
bang fest. We had our rearend slide over and wasted both practice
sessions. Never did get the kart setup right and was fast in the
feature, however, the guy we were racing pinched Tyler down twice
into the tires in the corner ending our run. It was fun, but the
driving was a bunch of hacks. |

for the lead and got sideways coming out of turn two and was shuffle
back to fourth. He took his Rage Karts Junior Champ to the inside

Tyler Strickland and Cullen
Mumaw traveled to Midvale Speedway to compete against the Junior Champ
racers from that track. Tyler won the first heat and finished second
in the second heat. Prior to the race we discovered a broken bolt
on the front bumper and had totape the bumper up, which caused the
down force on the front of the kart to change. Tyler still won the
race, but was complaining about the change in the karts handling due
to the taped front bumper. The lap times run by Tyler and Cullen were
a 17.40. Nick Giachetti finished in third and was right on Cullen
Bumper at the end of the race, it was a great run by Nick. |

for the lead. As the race developed there was a lot of beating and
banging going on and Tyler was very patient and cautious as he moved
into second place. Tyler made a pass on lap 17 of the 20 lap feature,
when the kart he was passing began swirving to block another driver.
Unfortunately the kart punted Tyler in the middle of the straight
away and he took a spectacular ride. His kart flipped approximately
6-8 times and was unraceable at that point. Dispite this incident
Tyler received 6th place points. This was his only non top five finish
